    Hi all,
My sky dish is quite low, some fella bumped against the dish and knocked it off it's alignment so now i get the No Satellite Signal is being received error. It asks me to turn off my dish at the mains for a minute and try again.
I want to try to realign it manually, My question is, as I'm realigning it do I need to align, turn off at the mains for a minute, then check...realign, turn off at the mains for a minute then check etc etc...
Or, as soon as I find the signal will my tv take the signal straight away?

    Thanks!
    P

Leave the receiver on, make small movements and then wait a few seconds for the receiver to react.

    Thanks Tony,
Should I go to SERVICES, SYSTEM SETUP, SIGNAL TEST on the remote control or wait for the TV to react, or does it matter?
The gf rang sky who want to send someone out on Saturday for €100 to do it...bit steep I would think.

    .

Yep signal test screen is the way to go. You may get signal strength without quality which may mean you are on astra one and not 2 so you need both readings to be up to get a picture. If you get stuck ring a local independent, should be less than 100 .

if you happen to lock on to 13e (which may well show both quality and strength readings) you will firstly need to move the dish off this satellite (You are looking to move 15 degrees to the East and reduce the elevation approx 5 degrees). then you will need to switch your digibox off and then back on again at the mains. Digiboxes have a tendency to 'Lock up' once they have 'found' the 13 e satellite. you are looking for a Network id reading of 0002 (Astra2) on your signal test page.

    Hey,
Thanks for your help, I went home last night, moved it twice and was back in business!
