Agents - Please put actual salary figures in your emails

    Im not looking for a new job at the moment. But im always willing to be tempted if the right offer comes along.

    So I dont mind reading emails I get from agents. The first thing I look for is HOW MUCH.

    What really annoys me is emails about jobs which dont contain a fukcing number. I, and most people I know just delete them. If they contained a number then I might get interested enough to even apply.

    So please agencies, dont even bother sending emails about jobs to people unless you are willing to specify the salary. "Negotiable", or "depends on experience" is not good enough. Put a number or a range in there.

    Ive said this to agents i deal with but they just seem to ignore it.

    Of course they do, because that is not how the game is played - performance figures often depend on the number of contacts they deal with, so if they gave you all the details, you would not contact them would you? :D

    A few year back I was being contacted on an almost weekly basis by an agent and when by change I mentioned it to a client I was working for at the time he confirmed that he was taking their calls too! So we confronted their CRM about it an she admitted that it was to do with performance figures and since we were such nice chaps take the calls each week................
