yup, its my goto clean eq. its beautiful to use and has unlimited bands.

great for broad boosts and severe cuts and the analyser is pretty good.

the biggest thing for my is how it works in m/s - add a band, split band, you now have a split band m/s eq with clear visual on what you're doing. i always use it on group channels, for example on a guitar buss you can pull a lot of 1k-2.5k out from the middle to make room for the lead vocal while at the same time leave it in the sides so you dont lose a lot of tone of the guitar. same as making room for bass guitar in the 2/300hz region.

i remember you talking about the m/s and until i watched this i didnt understand how beneficial it could be.

pretty sweet feature,im presuming its exclusive to this eq?

    Good vidz alright.
He is using the tried and tested "seek and destroy" method.
Most experienced engineers do this. Boost to find resonant frequencies then cut them. You can sometimes think stuff sounds dull when you cut high mids but once your ears adjust you will normally find it fine.
Here is a vid of the master, George Massenburg, doing the same thing with his own eq.

Watch all the vidz. They are great.
I would kill for 8 channels of GML eq:eek:

There are a few that deal with M/S.

Brainworx, TC MD3 are the only ones i've seen so far - there are probably others.

yeah the brainworx one was famous for doing m/s, but iirc it's very old and they don't make it anymore (open to correction on that).
