WWE will be taping two weeks of Raw tonight at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana tonight, including the complete build to the 10/3 Hell in A Cell PPV.

WWE is taping both weeks tonight as they will require their production crew to be on the road Friday 10/1 for the live broadcast debut of Smackdown on SyFy. Announced for the taping locally are John Cena vs. Wade Barrett and WWE champion Randy Orton vs. Sheamus.

I think the new tag champs Cody and Drew should be on Raw maybe the Harts will get their rematch

wow so we are geting the backlash from NOC raw as well as the go home show for HIAC tonight, fairly heavy going and hopefully they dont get to sloppy with the writing for HIAC.....they kind of only have one shot at this!

I'm guessing more interference will lead to the Hell in the Cell Match. Is this the first one on one meeting between the two?

Cena defeated him in a beat the clock challenge, the same night Danielson lost to Batista, back in the early days of NXT Series 1.

It'd be cool if that was referenced at sone point.

Hopefully too a little more touching on what nexus overall plans are, as they did say a while back there was a bigger picture.
    Or was that ever revealed?

have to laugh at the edge/Ryder exchanges

Is it just me or does Danielson have a little smirk on his face when doing little segements with other wrestlers? Like he cant believe he is deviating from the actual wrestling :p

Morrison's movements are too fruity to be believable, his beard is ridiculous too

    Hustle, Loyalty, Respect

Christ I f*ckin hate Cena's gimmic, its so lame, I am eagerly awaiting his cheesey over the top quirky and humourous promo, with the usual serious bit at the end where he gives the kiddies inspiration to "never give up"

i'm a fan of Cena, but his promo saying pretty much that he was happy Orton won the title because he got to see Barrett RKO'd was just ridiculous.

i know, i know, the WWE treats our memories with contempt, and doesn't want you to remember what happened more than 3-6 months ago at most, but seriously...

    1) he should f*cking hate Orton; and,

    2) why in the name of God would he want the title on anyone else bar himself? i miss the days when that title meant everything; where it was the centre of the company, and people like HHH, Austin, Rock, Benoit, and even further back to Flair etc, would profess to be willing to nigh-on die to wear the strap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,907 ✭✭✭Pentecost

It's a minor enough point to come out of Raw but I really hate R Truth and his stupid rapping, the crowd was completely dead for it as well. "It's time to get crunk!" F... Off will ya

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,443 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

I was watching the Armageddon hell in a cell and the rocks promo before it captivates the whole way the title should be perceived, as the target.
Saying if he has to bleed, he'll bleed, if he has to end somebodys career, he'll do it, if he has to put somebody through the top he'd do it to become the champ that night.

Where is any of that today?
No one even acts like they want the title anymore.
I think when eddie and Benoit won at WM20 and all the streamers and explosions went off was the last time I seen anyone genuinely happy to have reached the top of the mountain.

    Some thoughts...

I thought the opening segment with Sheamus and Orton was interesting but again Mr. Finisher has to do his thing. In fairness to Orton his promo was not bad but I still can't see him being an effective face, even though they are desperate to have him succeed in the role. It's good for Sheamus to be in such a match at the PPV. It's one where the result isn't as important as the performance. If he can have a good match with Orton, a loss won't hurt him.

Tag team match was pretty meh. Michael Cole on commentary was hilarious though, unlike the Hart Dynasty. Cole owned them a few times which made me laugh. Never thought I'd enjoy Michael Cole so much.

Good match and win for Morrison over Jericho.

I agree with Slick about Cena's promo being stupid. Obviously they are trying to give Orton a chance as the top guy, and turning Cena's focus on Nexus, but you can do it in a way that doesn't make the WWE Title seem unimportant.

I got my wish on Bryan's music being changed but didn't expect that. I wish they'd just give him something modern and good. At least it's better than R Truth's one. As much as I loath Miz he was good here, on commentary, and beating on Bryan. I'm still not convinced he can be an effective main event guy though, never mind the WWE champion.

I missed Layla beating Melina but am pleased she won.

Inter-gender tag match wasn't great. As said R Truth's song is horrendous. I didn't much care for his old one but at least it got over with the young fans. I question whether this one will. Eve's dancing was silly too but it made me laugh. :pac:

I might be in the minority but I really enjoyed the close of the show. Didn't like the fact that Heath Slater was first up for the gauntlet but he got some good time and I didn't feel being pinned hurt him. I don't see Otunga and Tarver as having potential, unlike Slater, so I wouldn't have minded them being beaten quickly but from what I recall they got decent time too. Gabriel impressed me and I still feel he has good potential too. He got in good offence and avoided being pinned.

It seems like they might be pulling the plug on Nexus based on how this played out. I'd like to see it continue and if they are unhappy with certain guys, then get some new guys in. I enjoyed the interaction between Cena and Barrett. I feel these guys could have good chemistry with one another in a feud. I found it a nice change from the usual stuff with Cena and Edge, Orton, Jericho etc.

If they are pulling the plug on Nexus does this mean they are ditching the storyline about Nexus supposedly having a higher power behind them?

Anyways I would regard this as a good Raw and worth watching.

I thought Cole was pretty poor with The Hart Dynasty. He just buried them and it wasn't even entertaining. Really bad form, I'm surprised Vince would okay that.

And facepalm @ Bryan's new theme.

The situation is probably the same though.. He will still be going after that punt/injury angle on the 27th show that was filmed.

**warning: the above spoiler contains info from the 27th taping**

I really enjoyed Raw this week. I hope to god Nexus doesnt break up, there is untouched glory in that group yet and to end it now would be annoying and foolish. Daniel Bryans push is something else to watch isnt it? That music needs to go though

    http://pwinsider.com/article/51096/raw-ratings-ouch.html?p=1
The 9/20 edition of Raw did a 2.8 rating (that is not a typo) with 3.9 million viewers. The show did hours of 2.77 and 2.82. Obviously, that is not a good number, especially the day after a PPV. The NFL game on ESPN did a good but not amazing 10.92 rating, so WWE can't blame that number for the drop. The new season of broadcast (free) TV started last night and I think that had an effect on the Raw rating. It seems to me that some of the people are putting their viewing habits up for bid.

That's not good, especially off the back of the supposedly most over babyface in the company winning the title.

Why can't the WWE build a decent feud between Truth and Ted Jnr maybe for the money belt instead of the stupid dancing and rapping and whose is after Ted Jnr is it Mae Young :p

Why is Alex Riley on Raw he didnt win Nxt and he is not a Nexus member did he also get a "contract"
