Failed NCT Ford Fiesta - Worth the hassle?

Back from the NCT test for my 1997 Ford Fiesta Flight.

The test failed on a number of things.

The Parking-Brake imbalance was at 74%.

The CO emissions for High Idle were at .41% against .30%.

And there was secondary structure corrosion on both rear wings.

On top of the NCT fail, my clutch is beginning to slip so will need to be replaced.

So, looking at it all, is it worth fixing it all up? While the barking brake imbalance and sorting the rust strikes me as straightforward enough. What I am wondering about is the CO emissions fail - don't know much about stuff in that area, and wondering what I will need to do to sort that? And is it expensive?

Is the car red by any chance?

I had a 97 one a few years ago and it failed on a few things including rust on the chassis. It was uneconomical to fix but what I was told by a few mechanics was that the anti corrosion paint sprayed on came from spain and was not up to scratch at all.Cars mainlly affected were red ones for some unknown reason.

Rust on the sill panels of fiestas is fairly common, in most cases with the NCT, you have to get a plate welded into it and bring it back for the re-test with the welded plate visible, then look after the cosmetic bits after the car has passed.
I had a '96 (red) fiesta that had almost the same fails. The lamba sensor, located at the front of the exhaust manifold goes on these, I got a new one for around €70. On the back hubs, there's little halh moon shaped guys for the automatic brake adjustments, these also go, they're only around a tenner new I think. With the rust issue, I repaired mine with filler and fiber glass, then painted both sill panels with black body shutz. I waited till the 28 days had passed, then went in for a new test, the car passed no problem, didn't cost a whole lot in the end.
