Hey Just wondering can someone tell me if a firewall is used when setting up MPLS? Router then firewall attached or is that even necessary? Just setting it up for the first time and amn't sure where to start. Thanks

Depends on the individual service you have ordered - if its a L3VPN and its just between a bunch of offices then you wouldnt necessarily need one (depending on your level of paranoia) as your traffic should be kept seperate to everyone elses on the Eircom MPLS network.

However if the L3VPN service you have also includes a route to the internet - then you should have something protecting each site.
