iPhone 3Gs on 3.1.2- Jailbreakme problem

    Hi,

    looking for a bit of advice. I have a 3Gs running on 3.1.2 which is currently unlocked (tethered) vis Blackrain.

    I recently went to jailbreakme to try and unlock and all I get is safari crashing, then I have to reset the network setting and Blackrain it then try again for Jailbreakme to crash again. I get no error message/popup...just freezes for a second then it's off. Then have to reboot-Black rain-reset network settings-reboot-blackrain again just to get it back to where it was. Have a good network/wifi as have tried this in a few locations and the same thing happens.

    Any ideas on what I can do to solve this problem? Need to get away from this tethered thingie its a nightmare!

    hi
    i am wondering how to get the jailbreakme instead of blackrain which i have right now.

    i have 3gs 3.1.2 firmware, and i have tried to upgrade to 4.0 and 4.0.1 in itunes with not luck. it won't let me do it.
