No doubt fxb's meat is all mighty, but most of the meat factory / outlets have been selling 10 fillets for 9e. I have beenn getting them in kerrigans for that for around a year now.

Found them very small last time I bought some. Strangely this thread has put me in the mood for some of those nice meatballs they have in the one near us.

Still €10 for 10 is still a hell of a lot better than the rubbish dished out in Tesco ewwwwwww

Edit: I think this offer is in all FXB's as they are same price in the one in Nutgrove.

€1 per fillet is available pretty much everywhere these days (I bought 6 for €6 in Superquinn today). Quality may be variable but at that price you probably don't want to think too much about the actual chickens, they're certainly not free-range.

Ive been getting them for a few weeks and there not bad there a little small but they do the job.

    emmm chicken.....

if there is another place around moore street that did a similar deal I;d be up for that,

6 for €5 in my local butcher on Manor Street just up from The Belfry pub.

As mentioned above since the size (and perhaps quality) can vary from outlet to outlet when these are sold by unit rather than weight you have to watch out to make sure that a bargain really is a bargain!

Picked up 15 large chicken fillets in the local Supervalu last week for €10 as part of the now expired 3 for €10 deal.

Hi vandammaged - wasn't criticising your original post but just posted my info in case it was of any use to anybody else. I'm definitely no food snob but have to say that many (most?) butcher shops seem to offer better value, choice and probably quality than many supermarkets. Obviously your mileage may vary. That butchers down in Phibsboro next door to the library seems to do some good value bundles for a tenner or more. And another place down in Dorset Street likewise. Sorry - can't recall the names of all these places! :o

Put up the names of the butchers in the bargain alerts and the deals they offer.

I started running two weeks ago so the chicken breasts are great.

it seems people love chicken fillets look at the views this thread has got.
