hi speed motors?

    i recently put a g & p m120 motor in my masada but iv noticed the batteries are not lasting too long now is this normal for faster motors or are the batteries f*cked, cause they have been used in about 8 months

    Yes, a faster motor will use more power so battery will not last as long.

    What make and mAh is the battery you are using?

    thats what i thought, the batteries are 9.6v 1400mAh

    Get a higher mAh battery as a main and use the 1400 as a back up if i were you.

    Firefox or intellect would be good makes.

    Was it running alright on the old battery?I worked on one of these with a mate and he put a new m120 into his masade and was having the same problem as this,so he reshimmed the gear box and hay presto, good as new.his problem was the shimming was very tight so the motor needed more power the move the gears in the shims.

    you can also get the same issue if the piston is not running smoothly or the motor height is to high, all mean the motor is going to have to work harder and draw more from the battery
