Ok I have to admit this Abyss and They angle has me hooked

Who are they that he keeps on mentioning
I first thought probably like everyone else that "they" were EV 2.0
Then "they" were meant to be fortunate, now TNA stating this is not the case and " they " will be revealed on 10.10.10

So who are they maybe a group of recently released WWE stars

Carlito, Shelton , Mike Knox etc

    Maybe Paul Heyman

or are " they " a already existing TNA group like Nash and Sting

Whoever 'They' are will probably be a disappointment.

Thats me Ma and Da's 23rd wedding anniversary.

    I bet its them.

My official 'They' prediction is a bunch of disgruntled ex-TNA wrestlers (James Mitchell, Daniels, Petey, Monty Brown, Harris, Kong etc.) return to claim what they feel is theirs and get revenge on TNA for firing them. That or Vince Russo.

Yes I was thinking James Mitchell or Shane Douglas :p

Apparently its not Flair and his Fortune group or Sting and Nash

It won't be Kong (assuming you mean Awesome Kong).

I'd imagine it's either "older" ECW wrestlers, Terry Funk and the likes or else it's rivals from ECW. They got New Jack to go at the PPV so you never know, it's probably going to expand the whole ECW angle a bit.

Maybe it could be disgruntled tna fans?

Maybe it's the auditors of Panda Energy who are sick of losing money. No wonder Abyss is acting like he doesn't give a sh*t about anyone.

Wellthe whole "they" angle is keeping me hooked the last few months but knowing TNA when I find out who they are I'll be like Mehhhh not interested because it'll robably be some ancient over the hill wrestler (thinks Jake the Snake) who can hardly stand on his own two feet.
I just hope they don't blow this oppurtunity to do something good.

Like others, this "THEY" angle has me absolutely hooked.

I really really hope they don't balls it up. I'm slightly expecting them to but deep down praying that they pull something out.

Disgruntled former workers would be a serious letdown, and James Mitchell seems to be the name on the rumour mill. Shane McMahon would be the best ever, but is unlikely.
With all this Sting/Nash angle seemingly going nowhere it could be some sort of nWo 2010 angle (hopefully not) but really at this stage (like the return of Jericho a couple of years ago) its great speculating and I'm hoping the payoff is there.

If someone had a way of getting transcripts of his promos of if there's any clues.

Thing with this angle is if it turns out to be someone, or something that no one expects, it will be really good.

If it is something like ex workers or returning stars, a new faction or anything predictable like that, it will take a lot for people to stay interested.

In fairness considering Abyss has said 'They' are going to take over TNA, odds are it's going to be a new faction of some sort, the question is who's going to lead it and who's going to be in it.

My money is on a WWE faction being led by Benjamin joined by Carlito, Mike Knox, Charlie Haas and Mickie James

That would be interesting considering carlitos comments about tna. In a smarky kinda way.

But how exactly would abyss be involved?

Oh Abyss is only there weapon they use to cause a path of destruction awaiting there arrival, the arrive Abyss goes a little crazy with there here there , a couple of months later Abyss turns face and turns on the WWE faction.

Thats what I think will happen anyway.

Come to think of it, I checked the date on a tub of natural yogurt in my fridge this morning. The date of expiry is OCT-10.

    Health inspector?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

Natural yoghurt left too long creates mold- which makes penicillin, that they use to put in medical drugs, - that treat infections such as viruses.
    NWO- virus..
    Return of the nwo.
    Dancor your fridge is unbelievable.

Any chance it could give me tonights lotto numbers? ;)

The fridge is only giving 10-10-10.

My first thought was Benjamin, James etc.
I really hope they don't go with that angle.

At least the NWO had a couple of former champions and the best wrestler ever. Benjamin, Haas et al are only mid-carders at best.

The only way that TNA will prosper is if they meld the hardcore style of ECW with the professionalism and good story telling of WWE with the sensationalism of 1997/8/9 WCW.
I'd love to see two products putting on really good shows every week, but the egos of those in charge will never allow that to happen.

Ship has sailed. If they need work a hardcore style in 2010 to get over they shouldn't even be on TV.

    From a news report;

    Backstage Reaction from BFG

There is definite fallout from the Atmosphere of Swerves, aka "Working the Talent," that has taken over the TNA locker room recently.

"When Dixie tweeted UNBELIEVABLE tonight, my thought was, EXACTLY!" a long time TNA wrestler told WZ. "The dressing room atmosphere has changed noticeably in the past few weeks. You can see it everywhere. No one trusts anyone anymore. It's all swerves and working the boys. Bischoff and Russo and Hogan tried to recreate the birth of the nWo, but they've recreated the Fall of WCW instead."

The long time wrestler pointed out that tonight's pay per view concluded with Hogan revealing that his back problems are not nearly what he's played them up to be, and that Kurt Angle lost a match that is supposed to see him retire, yet the announcers never even mentioned it after the match.

"You can't blame Tenay and Taz for that," he said, "they were obviously told not to say anything when everything went down with Hulk, Bischoff, Jarrett, and Hardy all turning heel."

"And here's Nash, either working everyone, or really pissed off because they're not giving him the money he wants," the long time wrestler revealed, "and whether it's another swerve or not, JWOWW getting 15 grand just for one appearance, with a mid-card gimmick that sucks, is not going over well with the talent, either."

The TNA wrestler said, "way to reward the guys that are bleeding and risking their lives for the company!"
