I'm pleased he's OK. When we were on holidays in Malaga years ago, he played a gig and he was just brilliant, so entertaining. Here's to a quick recovery, Christy!

That line is often used by celeb's when they don't want to do a gig or else drugs related. its a bit like the line that a celeb went into rehab because they got addicted to pain killers for their bad back, i.e. drug addiction

Just heard one of his bandmates on the Colm Hayes show and Christy has been released from hospital. They are heading off on their tour of Australia.

a good few years ago Aslan played a gig at a pub belonging to a friend of mine. Afterwards there was a few people sitting around having a few pints and I ended up talking to Christy. I was buckled. BUCKLED. I started talking total crap and giving out to him for blowing his career blah blah - stuff I cringe about when I think of it now. Anyway, the man was gracious and polite to me when he should have told me to fck off for myself, he listened to me and put up with me and shook my hand when I thankfully copped on to the fact that I was talking crap.

A few years later I happened to run into him again and I apologised for being a dick the previous time. He remembered me but again was polite and gracious and told me it wasn't as bad as I remembered it and how he thought it was funny, not to beat myself up, happens all the time etc.

In summary, I was an arsehole to him, and he was a total and utter gent in return. I wish him a speedy recovery and a long and happy, healthy life. I am now tea-total
