Pathetic sunday game highlights

10 minute highlights of the match. They showed no frees and nothing but the points from play. I dont have a clue what the game was actually like after watching that.

Yet we were "treated" to 30mins of highlights of United vs Liverpool. Some priorities.

I agree.:) This was our All-Ireland Final, which only comes around once a year.

You should have seen the coverage by the BBC, I think they sent someone to film it on a mobile phone, crappy youtube videos had better pic resolution.

Surely they would have taken the pictures from RTE?

I couldn't believe the shortness of the highlights !

not like it was such a poor game riddled with fouls and off the ball incidents

you probably would get longer highlights in Australia :D

Full game is on RTE Player btw.

But your right, the highlights were shown with the idea that you already seen the full match!

A quick fast forward through the game so they can get coverage to the Burlington.

10 minutes for the final isn't bad. You must remember there were no goals so that time off the highlights anyway. They had to get to the team's hotel celebration.

the thing is, this program is not about just the game, its about the MOM, being in the team hotel, the minor game, team of the year, talking to the panel, analysis, etc etc etc. i would also think most cork people would watch the entire game over and over again and down people wouldnt even want to see the highlights.

its the one game of the year, most people will have already seen, be it the 82,000 people in the stadium or the 100,000's of people on the live feed earlier. and there is only so much they can show in the timeframe involved.

Ya I'm sure most people would have actually watched the game live. I thought normally they show highlights of the match and most of the show would be from the winners hotel. That would be a lot better than last night. They only had about 10 mins from the hotel. The whole show should be from there, not having to listen to Des Cahill go on and on and on talking crap. What people want to see is the players half-buckled and having a laugh - much more entertaining.

It was a 2 hour show and 10 minutes was all they could manage. Pretty pathetic. Goulding scored 9 points and I only remember seeing 1 on the Sunday Game last night.
They could at least show all the scores and give 20 minutes for the game

Exactly, and i would say the players themselves would actually be quite interested in watching some of the match as its obviously completely different watching it while playing. According to the radio the game changed when Canty and Murphy came on and it also got the crowd going a lot. Did RTE bother showing that? No, of course not. I really wanted to see how the Cork crowd reacted to Canty making his appearance. Was it anything like Canavan coming on for Tyrone for example. It just gave no flavour of how the game went at all.

As i said i have never seen such a pathetic attempt at a highlights show.
