Want to have a few boot images on an external hdd as well as a file store. What do you guys think the best way to do this would be? I've read up conflicting answers on logical partition limits. I was half considering having some basic os with vmware or virtualbox running on it but it wouldn't work that well for install cds.

I want all the windows install cds as well as a few linux distros some persistant some live cds, some boot cd toolkits etc.

I'll leave a good chunk as ntfs for simple file storage.
