    Hi,

Can some one recommend the best hoover from a dust mite sufferer? I am allergic to dust mites and just about to invest in a quality hoover. I believe I need one with a HEPA filter. The hoover I am looking at at the moment is the Dyson 32. Has any fellow dust mite haters have any hoover recommendations to share with me, please?

Hey GotBainne?. The Dyson "Animal" works for me. I have allergic asthma but haven't had a prob since we got one of these a few years back.

I like Miele vacuum cleaners. There are lots of models to choose from. Great suction that can be varied, long cable which rewinds, Hepa. Best vacuum cleaner I have ever used. Check out miele.ie.

Also got 5 new Miele bags through Amazon for less than 10 euro including postage.

    Best of luck.

I'd second the Miele recommendation; I'm on my second one (first one belonged to the landlord and I reluctantly had to leave it behind when we moved) and find them absolutely excellent. You do need to go up the range a bit though to get the HEPA filter, so watch the model specifications. I would also strongly recommend against any bagless cleaners, including Dysons. There's no point being careful to use a cleaner with excellent filtration and then re-exposing yourself to the collected mites when emptying the dust collection bin. With a dust bag, you can simply remove and dispose of it without coming into contact with the debris again. The Miele bags even have a special self-seal flap which prevents any dust escaping during this process, which gives them the edge over other bags in my opinion.
