I recently bought a Sony laptop that came with Windows 7 installed. It also came with alot of rubbish which I think is slowing down the computer. My laptop doesn't have a CD drive and didn't come with a Windows 7 disc. How can I go about doing a full clean install of Windows 7? Thanks.

More than likely, the hard drive has been partitioned into 2...one partition for windows and the other as a recovery partition.

Turn the laptop on, just before the sony logo disappears, tap F8 about 5-6 times. A menu will appear and you should see an option called "repair your computer" or something to that affect. Within that menu, you will eventually get to an option to reset back to factoy settings, i.e, the day you took it out of the box.

Backup any music, music or docs before or else they will be zapped. After the restore, install PC Decrappifier. You can choose to uninstall all the bloatware/crapware/trialware/nagware that PC manufacturers inflict on us and that we didn't ask for in the first place!!!
