Im looking for a laptop but dont know where to start. I dont know whether i should look for custom build or buy from a shop. Im going to be using it for college to run some pretty heavy programmes like Photoshop, CAD and other progrsmmes which are heavy work load and graphic based. Im thinking maybe an i5 processor but dont know an awful lot about processors. Also id probably go for round the 500 gig mark for the hdd, RAM wise i think 4 at least. Ill need it to las for a few years so i need to make sure its still up to standard in a few years.

Has anyone any recommendations or any idea where the best place to start looking is, im not sure about dell as iv seen too many reliability issues with them.

    Thanks for any help

Sounds like a gaming laptop would be what you are after.
Alienware (Now Dell) have decent gaming machines, although they look a bit over the top.
