Dashboard light on Almera

I've got one of the newer model 2001 Nissan Almera's and I've noticed a small issue with a light on the dashboard.

The light I'm talking about is on the bottom right of the dashboard and it's the readout that displays the clock, mileage, and the reading that you'd use to clock a distance. When I turn they key in the ignition, the display lights up but 1/4 of it remains dark.

So 3/4 of it lights up as normal, but the last 1/4 remains dark. It's not a big deal, for example when it's bright outside I can see it easily, but if it's dark then it's a bit harder to see.

I guess I was wondering if it's a big job to fix it? I'm planning to get my car serviced soon by my mechanic but I'm wondering is he going to have to rip the dashboard off to fix this?

Or is this an entire unit that would have to be replaced if I wanted the light fixed?

    Cheers.
