You will be sitting a long time.

I got speech theraphy rather quick as my boy had a few other issues, his under the care of the early intervention services, if they handt of taken him, i would have been waiting over a year.

May take up to a year. In the mean time you could do simple things with him that help with lip and mouth movement eg blowing bubbles, drinking drinks through straws, blowing out through straws. These have all been recommended to me when bringing my child to speech therapy.

we got a letter saying today that we are scheduled for the jan/feb 2011 speech theraphy and a form to fill out about him.:)..

see we think he is a little tongue tied too, we went to my doctor when he was born and again last year but they said they wont cut it until he has speech problems!
my younger boy is tongue tie too ,they wont cut it either.. hes 7 months..his split a while back -now it release the tongue just a little bit but my eldest boys never did split

but delighted with the letter that arrived today so were not in for such a long wait...
    !
and ill do the bubble straw thing too- sound like fun-lol :D
