Switching Network

Hey I am moving to England on Monday.
I am with Vodafone Ireland and the phone is locked.
I rang Vodafone Customer Care and they said I hadn't used enough credit to get it unlocked!
I want to change to a network in England because it will be much less expensive that roaming I'm thinking.
Do I need to buy a new phone or can I change networks and use my current (locked) phone?

What type of phone do you have? you may be able to get it unlocked in a shop around town.

You won't be able to use the phone with another network until you unlock it.

Few options to this, you could get someone else who has spent enough on vodafone and request the code for you. They just put in your imei, and they will get the code.

You can get the phone unlocked in a shop here as a price, depends on the model you have, anything from €10-€60.

Or save the money and get a uk phone when you get there, or get a unlocked phone from adverts.ie here before you go.
