    Hi,

Just starting building my business website, getting a template for online sellers for 50-100e and customized to fit my profile.

Q:how much information shall i put in there ? How much is too much ...or...too less !?
I do not want to end up like an open book ,to be read by competitor ! But ,on the other side, not to give some information though not enough or clear for potential customer !?

    Thanks in advance...

Hi, I haven't a clue what your business is , but I think definately have an about page about the business in general, how/when it was started by who etc.

Have a contact page/contact form for visitors to mail you quickly and without hassle.

Have youtube channel, facebook page, twitter profile and linked in links on your website, at least on one page.

have a location page perhaps with google maps.

Now for your question... I don't think anyone can answer not knowing the business! But I would suggest to make a draft, and then read it from the point of view of a customer who knows almost nothing about your service/product, or get a friend or family member to do this. Can they now understand it? and are the benefits clear? A few sentences or bullet points should be sufficient without revealing your whole business plan!

You could have all of this on just the home page, or maybe an introduction type home page, a more detailed product/service page and a benefits page.

What do you see the purpose of the website being?

Do you want it to be just information about your business or do you want to sell either directly from it or get sales leads from it?

    You should have:
    - an about page of some kind ie. explain what it is that you do
    - contact page including a physical address
