Does anybody know on the sharp scientific calculators how to change an answer you get into scientific notation becuase I seem to be only able to do it if I go into notation mode and then do the calculation.

Not sure, but have you tried going into the mode and then pressing equals again? (Or "Ans",=)

Can you see "FSE" somewhere? Usually need to hit 2ndF, switches between Fixed, Scientific and Engineering displays.

You should be able to find a manual online if you type the model number of the calculator into Google. The model number is likely somewhere on the calculator.
