Moving Courses

Hi guys, hoping you could give me a bit of advice ! Basically I got into a course in trinity that I'm not too mad about but when doing a bit of research I found another course there which I think I would be more suited to. Only problem is on first round offers I wouldn't have enough points for it but the points dropped enough by the third round. I'm wondering would I be able to transfer to this course even though it was never on my CAO and I'm not sure about the points situation

Talk to your tutor ASAP. (The third round points will apply, but it depends on whether there's a place in the course. Also check whether there are other Leaving Cert related criteria involved for the other course, e.g. particular subjects.)

Thanks for the reply, I meet all the requirements and going on 3rd round offers I have enough points to get in. How likely is it that I'll be able to transfer considering the course I want to move into is relatively small around 35 people

It will depend on what the course is and the sizes of classes that do the same courses. We could help more if we knew what you were thinking of moving into.
