    Hey!

Just wondering if anyone who has done the test in Westside could give me any hints/tips on routes?
I'm with an ADI who has done most of Westside and Claddagh with me, along with some Knocknacarra, just hoping to get as many 'test routes' as possible covered before the test!
    Thanks :)

There's no such thing as a defined test route, your tester on the day will bring you out whichever way he feels is necessary to test your skills.

Thanks for your reply. I'm aware that there are no set routes as such.
Just looking for any tips really! :)

Just get as much practice on these routes as possible, know which lanes to stay in for left right or straight on and know the yield signs/islands at back of westside coming from newcastle.

I had to do my hillstart at taylors hill/ threadneedle road junction...quiet steep and there's always cars behind you so that was my most nerve-wrecking part.

Practice reversing around a bend in a quiet estate like clifton avenue or sylvan drive in newcastle

Knocknacarra is full of learner driver/instructor cars it's good for drivers to get used to quiet roundabouts before they take on the likes of the magic roundabout!!!

Remember that observation is really important so keep checking all your mirrors.

    Good luck:)
