do you have a multi meter ? if not get someone in to do it for you as the assembly of heater and stats are not for diy (my opinion ) as wide open to electric shock -

I have a meter and know how to use it, I suppose a continuty test across the thermostats would be the first thing to check, any thing else I should check?

do a resistance check across the heater.i think the heater and stats come as one spare part.If i a mthinking of the correct model,it is usually the heater that is faulty, its usually visibilly damaged
