Croke Park Residents Association Protest

I've heard that these guys are doing a protest Sunday morning due to some handball alley being rebuilt near Croke Park.

Anyways, 90 or so cars are going to make their way to Portlaoise the morning of the All-Ireland Final and will drive very slowly all the way to Dublin while occupying both lanes of the M7.

Now here's my question. What are the Gardai going to do on a day when traffic on the M7 will be very heavy. Will any of these people be arrested (deservedly so too). Will any of these people have their licence plates noted and be fined ?

There seems to be a notion in Ireland that you are a criminal if you break the law, but when a whole lot of people break the law it's a protest.

Not Making Progress or Failure to Make Progress I would imagine.

    Dangerous Driving or Careless Driving

Also, knowing the irony of Irish law and of certain Gardai if people use the hard shoulder to pass them then they will be the ones who will be fined/taken to court.

Heck, the Gardai might even give the protest an escort.

When the taxi drivers staged an impromptu process by blocking O'Connell St with their cars, no action was taken. Not saying I agree with this particular protest on Sunday, but equality before the law and all that......
