Just a heads up for anyone who spots this in Lidl from Monday, this will not recieve Irish DTT which uses MPEG 4, obviously it'll be fine for anything else - sat, aerial, cable.

    http://www.lidl.ie/IE/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20100920.p.22inch_Full_HD_LCD_Television
With built-in DVBT tuner & external DVBT rod aerial (MPEG2) for reception of digital TV channels

Not sure about the quality of the Silvercrest stuff. I bought headphones and a shower radio recently and both were rubbish. Headphones lasted a few weeks and shower radio never worked at all. Just a word of warning before anyone splashes out on some of their more expensive products.

    Orange pilled.

Not good with specs and stuff but this seems (on the face of it) better value

Bought one of these for young lads Xbox and it works a treat. Its full HD and has a vga input and so can easily be used as a computer monitor. Also comes with a 3 year guarantee.

That still only seems to have MPEG 2 DTT so only useful for UK - thought Argos didn't sell TV's that aren't fully compatible in Ireland.
