it is possible , once you get them into itunes , they can then be moved into the iphone

I downloaded dvd decoder. It rips dvd's to my hard drive as a .vob. Then I use videora to convert ti iP4. Works fine. Here is a guide.

download and install the torrent client vuze,it has a devices section that will recode and insert whatever movie you drag and drop into it into itunes for syncing with your phone

I have had handbrake fail on me due to copyright. I generally find between jodix, handbrake and videora, 1 of them will convert the file, but no one will do all.

Yeah, videora uses that, or that uses videora. Not really sure, but they are connected.

Either get AirVideo and just leave the movies on your computer and stream them to the iPhone or get something like yxplayer / oplayer and drag/drop AVI's onto these Apps in iTunes without any conversion required.

Note: if you really want to convert movies AirVideo can batch convert movies also, so it is my preferred solution as it is all controlled very nicely via the iPhone Application itself.

Oplayer, download if from the appstore

you can watch xvid movies, and sync them from itunes.

I use yxplayer too and it's fantastic. I use avirecomp to downsize the files.
E.g. 150MB file downsized to 40MB and quality not effected due to small screen size:D

    ditto
although, soon as vlc player for iphone hits the streets, this will matter a little less

Always use Handbrake but on one movie if nearly qualrupled the playing time from 1.3 hours to 5 h ours

Put it onto phone and although it played it was all out of synch

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

How long should it take to convert a movie? It decrypted in no time but converting was taking 2 hours plus so I just cancelled it. That was using videora
