As a matter of interest, where did you buy and what was the cost?

I had an A-frame many moons ago...useful piece of kit..but needs careful driving when in use...especially to avoid jack-knifing on corners.

I've got one, used literally once. It didn't work on a Merc 123 for some reason so I bought a car transporter. I paid around 200 sterling, the first 150 euros get it if anyone wants it P.M. me, thanks, GR.

Bought it in Kerry... Haven't used it of course (only got it on Saturday) but it looks like a solid piece of equipement.

    Neither are 'illegal'.

Both are legal for 'recovery to the nearest place of safety' (how it is termed in UK law) and not for 'transportation'.

That's perfect :-) The car I have to tow is in Macroom, and looking at things, the nearest place of safety is my house in Cork city :D:D
