    Any recommendations for any of these shops in town? Would love to buy a full tandoori chicken for €4, and the spices are very reasonable!

    Baraka in Mill Road. Loads of spices and other oriental/middle eastern delicacies. And cheap.

    Agreed. And forking out a bit extra for an occasional bulk buy of staples in Baraka means you get high quality stuff for a quarter to half of the cost of individual item buys at the usual supermarkets, never mind the hilarious prices at the health food shops.
