Complete novice streaming question.

    Hi All,

I am a complete novice to all this but these are my requirements and any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

At the moment, I just hook up my laptop to my tv to watching streaming video of the internet. I am thinking of just buying a dedicated computer to store movies and for the streaming.

Now in my bedroom I just have a little lcd tv up in a cubbyhole built in to the wardrobes. It is near impossible to hook the laptop up to it up there.

What are my options/is it possible to somehow make use of the pc downstairs while in the bedroom? Wirelessly if possible.

    Many thanks,

    S.

Your downstairs computer will have to have a wifi adapter.
The Western Ditigal TV live will do the trick. You can add a wif adapter to it to and away you go.

    Hi.

Thanks for the reply. Would the wd tv live allow me to browse the web from the pc below?

No - a cheap pc might be your best bet. it will play youtube videos though.
