Good morning.

Does anyone know if you can claim back (and from where?) the cost of the ECDL skills card (EUR 40) which we need to purchase, or the fee (EUR 20) for each of the seven exams that we need to take to pass it?

Apparently the whole ECDL course used to be free at Maynooth but now it adds up to EUR 180 which is no joke for a poor student like me!

I doubt you can claim it back from anywhere. I'd like to think I would have known if you can:pac: It cost me €200 cos I failed one and had to it again the whole thing is just scandelous.

Some departments might help out depending on your circumstances, give your dept an email.

I did my ECDL over the summer in the north for half the price of Maynooth so it might be worth your while checking out other places in your area. I'm pretty sure FAS run ECDL courses so you could maybe see about signing up for one of those.
