Doing Nothing

I've been a fresher now for two weeks at a certain Institute of Technology, and only have about two out of the five classes I've signed up to taking place as the lecturers are farting around or the rooms are under renovation.

This often means I've one lecture, lasting one hour between the hours of 9am to 5pm. The rest of my time is spent wasting away on the computers in the library. However, it costs me a minimum 15 a day to be here on the bus which takes an 1 hr and 15 mins. So I leave home at 7am and am not home till 6.15pm.

Is there anything I can do to encourage them to get more organised? Or should I just enjoy the dossing while it lasts?

its frustrating no doubt having to hang around the college and particularly after paying for travelling. But no need to worry too much yet. Its there to give students a chance to find their way around the college, find out who their lecturers are, etc. The work will come soon enough.
Take it handy and welcome to college life.:)

My one lecture of the day just got cancelled. Unfortunately because I'm commuting, I don't get to enjoy most of the college life: nights out, beer, clubs & societies, etc.

But I suppose the library computers aren't all that bad :D

why dont you try move closer to college?
rent a house with a few people..... you would have 75 a week from travel to spend on rent.

I'm considering it but would prefer to settle in for a while first. I don't know very many people either in college or in town so I'd prefer to have a few contacts made before jumping into things. Not really the type who can throw things to chance and jump straight in, but thanks for your suggestion all the same.
