Can anybody recommend somewhere safe (i.e. no strong currents etc) and interesting off the Dingle peninsula to go snorkeling? Or is there a website that would give info on locations?

There are a few places that have some good life in them.

Brandon Creek, on slack water neap tides only, would give you a comfortable snorkel as you have a nice area to dive without having to go out towards the sea.

Minard can be done at any stage of the tide as there is no rip. Go in by the slipway and right for the kelp where you'll find dogfish. Plenty of flatties on the sand, hermits too.

The other access points will mostly give you just a sandy bottom, less interesting.
