what is golf replacing in your life??

as the title suggests, i am currently playing GAA competively so golf is purely for fun for me and a way of relaxing, although when you smash a drive round a dog leg left only to find it stuck under a bloody tree with no 2nd shot, the fun element is forgotten!!
alot of former players from my club and surroundings have turned to golf after their playing days are over to quell the competitive streak in them.
And with golf becoming a cheaper game to play... well its easier all round.
what has golf replaced for you... maybe nothing, it was always your first challenge, and good for you, jst a bit of fun this....:p
