    I am going to deffer my place in a course until next year due to the fact that I didnt hear that I had passed until yesterday and I am in Australia

    Has anyone here done this previously?
    What did you say?
    Have they refused anyone and if so what happens then?

    Thanks in advance

    You need to submit a deferral request form, but I think your to late now as they needed to be in before the course boards (before exam results are issued). Plus, it needs to be hand delivered into reception and your out of the country. I suggest you contact your course leader who can advise you further. Alternatively, contact James Lamb (Education Officer) in WIT Students Union.

    You shouldn't really have left without ensuring your not due back in college!

    "You shouldn't really have left without ensuring your not due back in college!"

    Who said that I just left recently and that I havent been abroad for the last 4 years?

    Just becasue I am enquiring about something does not mean I am inviting you to talk to me like I am retarded.

    Okay dude, ill try not to speak like your a retard but if you have been away for four years and only copped on now you passed your course - then I am more worried then I was when I first posted.

    Results are issued twice per year. If you only just found out as you say, then it means either;

    1) You just checked your results, which either indicates you left over the summer or

    2) Your actually gone a good while (fair play for securing a job in aussie that long and a sponsor!) and only just had the cop on to look at your results.

    As I don't think your a retard, I went with the former. I pointed out that it wasn't the smartest move to assume you failed, or didn't pass the exams, and headed of to aussie causally checking the results with the "Arah, sure I didn't pass!" mindset and shocked to see the gods gave you a pass.

    So please, don't speak to me like I am some sort of ignorant, interfering old busy body who hasn't just wandered into a public thread looking for advise and help. Mucho.
