For those annoyed at paying for Sky Sports for TUF?

YAY!!!

Currently I pay out;
Sky basic pack - €33
ESPN for events - €16
Setanta for TUF - €17
Total - €66

Adding Sky would cost an extra €30, 34 really but ESPN is €4 cheaper if you're a Sky subscriber.
Called up tonight and asked nicely if there were any offers on. She gave me the Sky + Sports pack for €50 instead of €67 so now my total price (after cancelling Setanta) is...
€62!!!

So I still get TUF and the cost of my pack is down by €4!
(The offer is only for 3 months sadly but TUF will be pretty much finished by then). RESULT!

Worth a try for anyone else contemplating upgrading but put off by the cost.

I never watch TUF on tv anyway, why wait for it to come on tv and watch ads when you can use the magic of the interwebs to watch it?

I agree. I just download the day after it's on Spike. Fook that Sky crap. Rip off. Not even a good service, don't get me started on NTL/Chorus/UPC. Wow!!! Horrendous to say the least.

Can't wait for the Kos v GSP fight though. Reckon it'll be GSP's toughest for a while yet. I respect both. GSP is a legend & can't see him lose but UFC has dropped me on my ass several times so I'm prepared for an upset

Em, the thread title did say "for those annoyed at paying for Sky Sports". If you're using illegal means then you're not annoyed at paying are you?

So why fill the thread with waffle? The point of the thread was to help out those who don't want to use illegal downloads/streams.

Clearly there aren't many about. :rolleyes:

Have you considered the chance that people do pay for SS, that are annoyed but don't know of any other means...therefore the "waffle" could actually be very helpful for them

It always amazes me how people complain in threads, in this case about people filling the thread with waffle, by actually filling the thread with more waffle and not adding anything to the conversation!

I know many people stream/download stuff, I just thought there might be a few more in my position who won't stream and are miffed about the cost of Sky for TUF so news of a Sky offer might be of help to somebody.
