Just wondering if there's any known faults with the turbo's in the Auris D4D's?
Can't see anything on honestjohn or the like but said Id ask here too.

My Aunt's driving a 09 1.4 D4D with about 24k km on it and the turbo went on it yesterday! Thought it was strange for such a recent car with low mileage.

Luckily it's covered by warranty in this case but worrying nonetheless.

Most turbo failures are due to lack of proper servicing. Has your aunt had it serviced at all in the 24k km she's had it?

She hasn't had it since new, only bought it a few months ago. Believe it was an ex display from the garage. I think there may have been some mention of oil being put into the engine after it happened so perhaps it ran low, I can't say for sure.
