I was in Starbucks today in Kildare Village (Stay away from the place unless you win the lotto on Saturday by the way!) First time ever having a coffee in the place... It wasn't that great... It tasted like it was burnt or something?

Is there something wrong with me or is that how it was meant to taste?!

    Starbucks don't make good coffee.

That's their appeal is it not?

Coffee for people who like crap coffee?

starbucks is awful for hot coffee drinks.

i am seldom partial to their frappucinos on a hot day though but in ireland that's a rare beast.

They really don't make great coffee... They sell oversized, ridiculously named, foul, weak coffee. Best bit is they charge you an arm and a leg for it

The appeal is probably meant to be the "atmosphere". Depends on whether you like that kind of atmosphere or not.

But yeah, back to the point, the coffee tastes cheaper than your average cup but costs ten times more. Boo

No one goes to starbucks for a coffee. I had an americano in starbucks monday (first time in one of them) and it was pretty poor. At the same time it was a decent price for a large cup of coffee (their medium). If you happen to fancy yourself as any class of coffee lover they aren't good, if you aren't that bothered its fine.

Only thing good in Starbucks is the smell.

Thanks for the replies, One of the lads in work is forever going on abut how great Starbucks is. I didn't think it was anything special and it appears I'm far from the only one!
