So I took the plunge and bought Traktor Scratch Duo yesterday...Delivered today and set everything up!:D

So Im now working two CDJ 1000's and a DJM 400, Packard Bell Laptop and Audio 4 DJ!

But, what brought me here was to find out from someone (more knowledgeable than me), Can I control the pitch on Traktor using my CDJ's?
At the moment I can't but with all the settings and me being a total beginner with Traktor, I thought there might be a way?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't use Traktor so maybe someone else would be able to better advise you but I do use Serato and alternate between using 1210 turntables and CDJs depending on where I play.

Traktor should have come with control CDs so use those to manipulate the music files on Traktor Scratch. When you move the pitch on the CDJ it should change on the laptop. Similarly if you pause, scratch or cue the CD it should read that on the laptop also?

Thanks, I would have guessed the same, all the other functions work perfectly but the pitch wont budge!
Moving the pitch on the CDJ does nothing on the laptop?
I hope its some setting I've missed because it would be such a shame to have all those features working, apart from the pitch?

Have you the pitch lock engaged on the deck? Or on the laptop?

its been ages since i used traktor but from what i remember go to your preferences and midi mapping and use the "learn" feature for your pitch, pleanty of vids on youtube on doing this

Are you using the timecode CDs in the CDJs?
AFAIK the CDJs have no midi output so unless you're using the timecode discs, Traktor has no signal to tell it what you are doing on the CD deck.

Disregard and take no offence if I'm just stating the obvious for you.

milltowns right, theyre not midi compatible like their newer decks, the timecode cds should work

Yup thats all grand....CD's in each deck...Cue...Play...Pause...All perfect!

Just where the BPM should be shown, there is nothing!

For me, its the total disappointment, to have a half functioning program that should allow total control of your tracks!?
