Just wondered if you can compensate deferred subjects. My second semester exams were deffered and I got an average of 55%. I got 32% in one of them. Is it possible for me to get compensated in this subject. thanks in advance for your help

If a subject is granted a deferral, as far as I know, you cant change it. You must still sit the exam. Plus, you need 35% in the subject you failed to compensate.

I'm going to view the exam script and see if i can be brought up a few per cent. Do you mean to put in a appeal as well to try and get compensated for it?

Doesn't sound like he has a valid reason to appeal. Only if he finds errors on the paper when viewing it or there was a problem during the exam session or lead up to the exam. Appeals ain't easy!

You cant compensate in August exams anyway. So you either pass or you fail, pretty much. At 32% its not going to be easy to get your marks brought up to 40%!
