Basq, what the hell is in that pack?

Is it just the Move wand and Sports Champions? Does the PS Eye come with it? Is the starter disc included in it too?

    i.e. is it this
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/-/dp/B003S9WRYW?tag=invihand-21
    with sports champions free?

Edit: decided to go for it in the end. I saw that they had the starter pack online for €54.99 so I can only presume that that is it.

Didn't know Gamestop do deliveries now.

    I presume that accept Laser?

Only Master and Visa on the checkout page, I was hoping that they would accept their own giftcard...

Another thing I noticed is even though it says online offer only on the product page, once you add it to your cart there is an "In Store" section on the left which says

"...do you want to buy this product in store?
Here are all the info - You can have it at € 54.99 "

    Can anyone confirm this?

It doesn't look like the starter pack (i.e it does not contain the camera + demo disc)

It says move + free sports champions, and they have the full move pack at 54 euro so I assume its the full thing.

Good deal, might just pick this up :)

I took that it was just the 'Move' peripheral and game tbh!

But if it's the starter pack, it's a bonus.

My Move Starter Pack was dispatched from Gamesnash this morning for €28 (had a voucher).

It's gotta be just the wand and game, otherwise I'd bet there would be an image of the Playstation Eye and/or sub-controller on the box.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,923 ✭✭✭kearneybobs

Gonna send them off an email and see what they say is in the pack. I'll let you know what they say.

The Starter pack includes the camera, was just on the Smythes site and it has the starter pack with the camera for €54.99.

The offer in Gamestop is a Move controller and the full Sport champion game for €54.99.

The thing is, when you look at the product description on the Gamestop.ie site it says "PlayStation Move Bundle Offer - ONLINE OFFER ONLY"
A link under the description for the PlayStation Move Bundle Offer shows the starter pack, which is priced at €54.99 on the site. And it does say that you save €39.99 (the cost of the Sports Champions game i presume)

their site looks desperate, a secondary school kid could do better, and everything is just as overpriced as their shops.
it was their chance to make a proper dent into the online makret, but have failed miserably

Ever time i looked at the site they never had prices and only a few of the game that were in stock, was surprised to see anything else even if it's not competitive.

    Bump for this..

.. if anyone finds out if the offer in the original post is the bundle or just the periperhal, let us know here.

    Ta!

EDIT: I'm starting to think this is the Starter Pack Bundle you get, and not just the Move Controller. As you can see in this video, they've released a Starter Pack w/ Sports Champion bundle so odds are it's that you'll be getting.

samapple789 said over in the Playstation Move thread on the Playstation forum that:
was on the phone to gamestop in cork city the move with ps eye is 54.99 with no games just the demo

The online deal is only with the move and game no ps eye was told on the phone from the guy in cork

Basq, I'm after sussing it all out. I'm still waiting to hear back from them since i sent the email off last night, but I had a snoop around the website to see if I could see any more info on the deal. I ended up clicking on the Facebook link and saw that they were advertising it on the GamestopIreland Facebook page too.
There is clarification from GamestopIreland that it is the bundle on offer and you get a free copy of Sports Champions with it when you order online.

    Have a look here.

Oh.. and Sports Champion is only €29.99 on Argos. Could be the best B&M price (it's €39.99 in Smyths):

Sometimes Argos don't update stock availability until late on the day of release. It may be coming in on todays delivery or someone may not have turned them on yet. At that price we'll be in the queue ourselves :D

I rang the head office a while ago and left a message. Just got a call back from a very helpful woman to confirm the it was the starter pack included in the bundle. She went and double checked and then confirmed that it was indeed the starter pack, with a free copy of Sports Champions.

Snap this up while you can lads.
Just to confirm again. The offer includes the starter pack and a free copy of Sports Champions.

She also said that it should dispatch the same day if ordered before 3p.m. Since I ordered mine late last night, it's gonna be shipped today and I presume it should be here on Monday or so.

Do you need the FW 3.42 to use Move?

Offer expired but I had to comment on the Gamestop site and customer service.

I registered and attempted to order the move offer.

But it wouldn't accept either my work or home address - it kept on insisting they were too long. I live in an apartment in Dublin, so the address consisted of the apartment, the street and the postcode. How is that too long?

Anyway, I emailed them asking them to look at the problem. Never received any response.

So, in summary, they lost an order and I'm never even going to look at their piece of **** website again.

    <clap clap clap>

I, on the other hand, had no problems with my order, what so ever. Even after I rang them to confirm some details, they kindly rang me back, dispatched the product on time. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, even if the website is not the easiest to navigate.

Ah well. Being able to process 50% of orders isn't half bad :p
