aw christmas discussions already! - ok, ill bite

    it is lots of thing...

    - walking down grafton\henry street on a cold december evening with a warm coffee in hand when its dark out and all the christmas lights are on and loads of people about shopping

    - coming home from work each night to a real christmas tree and THAT smell

    - Hearing the Christmas Budweiser ad for the first time

    - Settling down to the Late Late Toy Show

    - Figuring out what to get my wife for Christmas

    - Going to bed Christmas eve, I still get excited

    - Christmas dinner, if I was being put to death this is the last meal I would request....really nice food but just soooo much of it.

    - And finally the one I'm most looking forward to, having our first Christmas with my baby daughter...she wont know what is going on but Christmas is multiplied 100 fold when kids are involved.

Yeah, I have lots of favourite things, can't pick just one.

    - I like how people are that bit nicer to each other in shops, etc. Even if they just wish you "a happy Christmas"

    - hopes of snow

    - I'm not religious but I go to Midnight Mass every year. I really love the Nativity story. It's so simple and beautiful. A little baby being born in humble conditions whose destiny is to save the world. It's a lovely thought.

    - listening to christmas songs. I love loads but when Shakin Stevens "Merry Christmas Everyone" comes on, I turn into that hopeful 10 year old again!

    - putting up the Christmas tree. Put on a Christmas CD and get everyone to help. It's so warm and fuzzy!

    - meeting friends before Christmas for a hot drink. I dont do Stephen's night anymore so its nice to catch up with people over the festive season, without blaring music and crowds.

    - I went to the Christmas markets in Europe one year and they are absolutely magical. I wish we had some here

"Merry Christmas everyone" what a great song to get into the chtistmas mood.
I wish they would make Christmas songs like that again, ant the thoughts of a White Christmas would be soo magical
