l96 spring replacement

    was putting a 1j spring (got from cpt price) in my l96, but the spring is to fat to fit in the piston,wont cock even halfway because of this. i really dont feel to great about filling down the piston so will fit, incase messes up if have to put back in orignal spring, im new to the bolt action game so so help needed.

    ps.will try get some pics up later to make things bit clearer

    Measure the internal and external diameter of the old spring, you need a spring with the same dimensions as that.

    cool thanks,can i get differnt diameter piston head to accomadte the wider spring?

    I think so, but a spring would be cheaper, far cheaper.

    deadly man cheers, now to find my measuring tools....(joy) was thinking of upgrading piston head n spring guide to uber top of the lines ones so ill check prices on all that 2,thanks for the help man

    what is your current spring chronoing at i can tell you how 2 upgrade ur power without changin it

    ok so the inner piston is hollow so the spring gos into it put a spacer into the top of it my problem was finding right 1 used a valve off a gas pistol mag must be the same diamater as the spring so no catching occurs on the spring mine was chronoing at 260 now its at .97 of a joule constant:D
