    Hi Guys,

I am off to Vietnam at the end of October. Applied to the Embassy in the UK for my Visa. Just got it back today and all they did was stamp my passport. I thought it might be a letter or some type of document. Can you please advise if this is all i need. Just seems a bit odd to me i.e not very "official". i am only going for 2 weeks.

    thanks

I replied this in your other thread.. might want to get the mod to merge them...

"I sent away to the embassy in London and got the full page sticker as shown in the previous post...

You can of course get on the plane without it. They do a visa on arrival now as well. You need to get this arranged with a visa company online.. there are a few of them out there. They basically tell them that you are coming, give you a letter, then you give that to the immigration officer in Vietnam when you arrive.

We landed in Hanoi and there was a seperate area just for visa on arrival. Only takes 15 mins or so. My 2 mates had to do this. No issues whatsoever

Can you post a picture of the stamp?
