Do you need a specific qualification to be a resource teacher in secondary school?

Or are you qualified to teach resource if you are a registered and vetted second level teacher?

    Thanks everyone!

As far as I know resource goes to any teacher, but that for learning support you need an additional qualification. But Im not sure if thats the way its meant to be or just the way it is.

You don't need to have any extra qualification to do resource or learning support.

There is a course that LS teachers can do once they have a position - so teachers who already have this qualification would probably get this job above regular teachers. However, you can't do this course without first having a LS position.
