Chainsaw horse/rack

Hi all,
Im looking for a design to build or even to buy(at the right price) a frame for holding logs for sawing before splitting. Im looking for something that is easy to load like with a tractor loader.
Anybody ever see one of these before or have any good ideas for a build?

I tried a 10 ft ESB pole on it, held it no problem.

I saw that saw horse at the ploughing last year. Looked sturdy. Cannot remember the price. Might be worth checking out next week.

Also, I see an automatic chainsaw sharpener in the Journal this week. Anyone know if they are any good. Seems to be made by Oregon. Again, these are sure to be at the ploughing next week.

I was checking it out online. Its pretty big in the US. Basically you have to buy a new bar and chain for your chainsaw and the sharpener comes with it. Just clamp it on the end of the bar, run it for 5 seconds and its sharp. It has to be a special chain and a special bar for it to work. Total cost in the US comes to about $120. Extra Chains are the same price as normal ones. Wonder what the price will be here.
Looks like it could be a great saver.

Any Makita dealer should stock these or be able to order them in for you.
As far as I remember they sell for around 120-130 euros. They did a deal at the ploughing and some other shows last year for about 100 euros.

You might want to take a look at these - http://www.jocemetal.co.uk/page2.htm Have had excellent reports of them from quite a few woodland owners in the UK, cost about £200(sterling). I reckon that if you were handy with a welder you could make one for a lot less!

I also bought one of these earlier in the year, from the local chainsaw place. Again, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Guys, if you want to get one of these at the ploughing, visit the "Makita" stand. Ploughing deal - selling at €100. Worth a look anyway!
