Hi guys just a quick question. My friend is having twins by caesarean next week and Im getting a baby monitor as a pressie. Is there any difference between a monitor for twins and a normal one, and which one would you recommend. Thanks

It's essentially a microphone and a speaker connected by radio. There's no difference between them.

What one sells a twins model? Sounds like pure bull$hit marketing to me.

There really is no such thing as a "twins monitor" unless they will be sleeping in separate rooms.
It's basically a walkie-talkie and comes in a set of two - one for the nursery, and one for the parent's room/tv room so the parent can hear any noise from the nursery. Your friend will need one set for each nursery, so as I say, if they're sleeping in the same nusery she will only need one.

There might be a twins version of the monitors that have sensor mats attached to them.

    Just a thought.
