I'm currently getting lessons on the acoustic guitar, i've had 4 sessions and absolutely love it as it has been an ambition of mine for a long time, my instructor has so far he's thought me 7 cords (A,D,E,G,EM,AM,C) and 2 songs (stand by me, candy - paulo nutini) and he tells me i'm learning fast. I was wondering is there any easy tunes that i can learn on the side, i've thought myself smoke on the water but it seemed to be pretty easy to pick up, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on some easy tunes to play using the above cords?

BTW i also read this post and found it very interesting but just not really to my taste in music http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055878862 all recommendations are much appreciated.

My music taste ranges from -

Kings of Leon, muse, zutons, razorlight (1st album only), kasabian, wombats, white stripes, libertines, arctic monkeys, bloc party, strokes, editors, green day, mumford and sons, red hot chilis, we are scientists, radiohead, yeah yeah yeahs, acdc, led zepplin and loads more thats all i can think of at the moment.

There's plenty of chords (and tabs, if you use that) on www.ultimate-guitar.com. Just search for whatever song you want and there's usually chords for it.
