A4 Coolant Change Query

    Hi all,
I am hoping to change the coolant in my 2002 A4 over the coming weekend as I only bought the car a few months ago, and am not confident that the correct stuff is in there!

Have had a trawl through the forum and cannot find any "Ho To" guides so hoping someone might be able to walk me through it.

I'm presuming I can drain the sysyem by simply removing the bottom rad hose?
Then flush through with Tap water a few times to remove traces of old coolant etc
Is there a bleed screw that I need to remove/release before refilling with new coolant? Where is it located if so?

I know I need to use G12 Coolant. Do I need to use this alone or can it be mixed?
If I mix, do I use only DI Water?

Is there anything else I need to do after this?

    Thanks in advance!
    PJ

That will drain the rad only I would reckon, you'll need to drain the engine too, your coolant system has two loops, little and large, little opens into large when stat is opened. When draining stat will be closed so the rad hose will only drain the rad.
