In what would be considered one of the safer areas of the City....windows were hit but not broken a few weeks previous...appears to be a general problem in the neighbourhood...terrible............:(

    What can communities do?.......

Listen for the object hitting the window and run out the door and threaten that if they do it again you will run them down in your car/van. I did this when I first moved into Carew Park as the local kids decided to "test me"(I guess). They never did it ever again.

Nowadays, I'd guess that would only encourage them to do it again. They know you might catch them and kick their butts but you're not going to run them over.

Well then how about running over them? Or kicking them so hard in the backside they can't sit down for a week?

I remember when I was akid a few years ago and 1 of my mates annyed a new neighbour. He kept doing it and got such an almighty kick up the arse he needed a big thick cushion just to be able to sit down and eat his dinner.

He told his parents and his dad gave him a clip around the ear and told him not to be annoying the neighbours. I blame parents these days :D A good kick up the arse or clip around the ear when you know your child is causing trouble would solve many of todays kids.
